Description
This itinerary is an example of a tour designed for travel agencies, tour operators, and organizations that wish to offer their groups a unique spiritual and cultural experience in Southern Italy.
With DaniloBus, your organization can rent a private coach with driver to accompany participants throughout the entire journey, in total comfort and safety.
The tour begins with departure from Naples, where you can visit the historic center, explore the city’s main streets, and stop at the place of worship dedicated to Padre Dolindo Ruotolo — the Church of San Giuseppe dei Vecchi e Immacolata di Lourdes, which preserves his remains — a perfect opportunity for a moment of prayer and reflection.
The itinerary continues to Pompeii, to visit the Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Rosary, an important Marian pilgrimage site. After the visit, the group proceeds to Pietrelcina, the birthplace of Padre Pio, where you can see his home, the Chapel of Sant’Anna, and other places connected to his childhood.
Continuing to San Giovanni Rotondo, the group will visit the Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie, the new church designed by Renzo Piano, and the sanctuary that houses Padre Pio’s remains.
The journey includes a stop at the Sanctuary of Saint Michael the Archangel, one of the oldest pilgrimage destinations in Europe, before moving on to Alberobello to admire the famous trulli, the sanctuary, and the Capuchin convent.
The final stop is Matera, a UNESCO World Heritage city, where participants can explore the Sassi and the fascinating rock-hewn churches.
The tour ends in Bari, with a visit to the Cathedral of Saint Nicholas and a stroll through the old town, before returning or departing from the airport.
With DaniloBus, you can turn this itinerary into a custom-made experience for your group — choose the stops, duration, and additional services, and we’ll take care of the transportation with a dedicated coach and driver.
